Friends from Texas Discovery Gardens Butterfly House

A group from my work went to check out the Texas Discovery Gardens Butterfly House as part of a Day of Service. We will be cleaning and replanting our butterfly sanctuary at my place of employment.

We watched a butterfly release and heard all about them from the wonderful staff. Here are some friends I made at the Butterfly House.

I am also hoping to follow with a plan in my backyard similiar to this

I have not figured the plants yes, but it will have both nectar and host plants with a shallow dish in one of the ovals as a water souce for butterfly puddling.

Here is a butterfly pattern to celebrate - make some paper butterflies!

Old Photo Fun

I love old photos. We recently found a falling apart scrapbook of photos from the 1920s-1950s at my MIL house. We peoceeded to scan all 400 pictures! Whew!

You can create interesting artistic compositions with old photos by cropping them or adding elements in unusual, unexpected ways.
